We use Matrix as group chat for Freifunk Bodensee.
The most popular client for matrix is called Riot.

Enter Matrix Room

Create Matrix User

In order to enter the Matrix room, you will first need a user on a Matrix server. We offer a registration on bodensee.space/riot. Here you can register and create an account. With the help of this account you can sign in for example in Riot via mobile phone, iPhone or via desktop app.

Sign in into the app

In order to sign in into the app and to use the Freifunk Bodensee server you will need that you registered at matrix.bodensee.space and not at matrix.org.

Use the standard setting as identity server!

Enter Freifunk Bodensee Chat

As soon as you registered at Matrix or Riot respectively, you can enter the Freifunk chat. At the top you an find a search field where you can directly type in the room:

#ffbsee@matrix.bodensee.space

When using the Riot server on bodensee.space you can directly click on the suggested Freifunk Bodensee chat and enter the room.
